Every city in the United States has suffered from racial and economic segregation for the past 60 years. This injustice has definitely come to the fore over the past few years. We Are Superman chronicles the history of this nationwide epidemic by telling the story of Troost Avenue. Troost lies at the heart of hypersegregation in Kansas City, Missouri, drawing a geographic line between black and white and rich and poor. And the creative solutions that leaders on both sides of this line have created to build bridges and collaborative communities.
