Bravo

Federico wants to become an astronaut and he's willing to do anything in order to achieve it. However, his dream has turned into obsession after his mother's premature death. Thanks to his talent he won a bursary at the MIT of Boston, where he spent an extremely intense year: there the competition was deadly and to achieve great results he had to start using smart-drugs, like everyone else. When he comes back home to a little village in the Langhe hills, everything is perfect as it used to be: the family, the friends and the safety of a life nestled like a gem through the vineyards. Everything is perfect and quiet, except his mind which is tormented by the will of success and the fear of a failing future. In the village Federico meets Najma, his old childhood friend, who now is an aspiring paintress. Between them, we can feel a special chemistry ready to bloom and his summer turns out to be even better than how he had imagined it. Federico enjoys his days with his friends and with Najma and he even manages to study for the next exam. However, to keep up with his own expectations, he has to gradually increase the number of pills he takes, without paying attention to the side effects they have on his anxieties and fears. The abuse of these smart-drugs leads him to an emotional roller-coaster which makes him lose the people he loves and his life starts drastically collapsing.
