Caring for the Recently Deceased

Caring for the Recently Deceased is a darkly comic take on marriage and loss. Marjoram Bryon (Downton Abbey's Sue Johnston) has always had simple desires: a well-kept house, a perfect lawn, and a happy retirement for herself and her husband Glynn. However, for their 30 years of marriage, she has been working towards these goals alone, as Glynn sits on the couch and watches TV. Things change, however, when Glynn's slovenly lifestyle finally catches up with him: Marjoram suddenly finds herself widowed after Glynn suffers a massive stroke. When her freshly dead husband crashes his own wake, Marjoram discovers that death (and re-animation) comes with certain challenges, but also some unexpected benefits.
