The Coldest Kiss

In 1938, young Mattie's family forced her into an abusive marriage with an older, wealthier man named Floyd. Over the next nine years, she develops a close friendship with his nephew Thomas. Feeling compassion for Mattie's situation, Thomas helps her build the confidence and self-respect to break free from Floyd's cruel influence. When they finally escape together, Floyd (and anyone he can buy) follows closely behind with plans of revenge and murder.
